Exova materials & corrosion testing lab
21 October 2015
Exova, the global testing group, has opened its first facility in the North East of the US – a new materials and corrosion testing laboratory in Pittsburgh. The laboratory will provide testing and consultancy services in metallurgy, polymers and coatings as well as corrosion risk assessment and mitigation, primarily to the oil & gas and industrials sectors.
The location of the laboratory, close to the Marcellus shale field, brings Exova’s services to an important region by providing particular expertise in supporting field inspection and corrosion mitigation.
The new facility, under the operational leadership of General Manager, John Ciliege, and technical leadership of Dr Mehrooz Zamanzadeh, will be part of Exova’s oil and gas division in the US and will also work closely with the company’s network of oil & gas, aerospace and industrials laboratories worldwide.
Gary Brimmage, President of Exova in the Americas comments: “This new investment underlines our commitment to being at the forefront of industrial materials and corrosion solutions. Offering both testing and advisory capabilities we are able to support our customers throughout the entire life cycle of oil and gas and industrial assets, helping them to meet their technical and commercial needs.”
