Jacobs awarded Contract from Central Texas Regiona

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded a contract by the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority for road projects located in the MoPac South corridor in Austin, Texas. Mobility Authority officials estimate the contract value at $6 million. Jacobs will manage environmental and preliminary engineering services as well as public involvement efforts related to the development of approximately nine miles of roadway and overpasses in the MoPac corridor.Jacobs’ scope of work includes alternatives development and evaluation, environmental studies, public involvement, preliminary engineering, field survey, hydraulic studies, and schematic development. “This project continues our long relationship with the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, and we are pleased to support their goals to promote sustainability in the development of their transportation projects,” said Jacobs Group Vice President, Kevin McMahon. Subsea 7 wins offshore Mexico contract

Subsea 7 S.A. has been awarded a contract by Pemex to its Mexican joint venture valued at approximately $90 million. The contract comprises the engineering, fabrication and installation of an eight kilometer pipeline, related risers, two slug catchers and two cantilever structures for the Line 67 Project in the Bay of Campeche. Flexlife expands Houston operations

Flexlife, a specialist provider of flexible pipe integrity and engineering services, is expanding into a new facility in Houston and targeting U.S. work with a value of nearly £2million in the next year. The company will expand operations to its new premises later this month with options for future growth over the coming 12 to 18 months. Since its opening 18 months ago, the Houston office has seen an annual turnover of around US$300,000 and expects that to rise to nearly US$3 million for the coming financial year. This increase in expected turnover is due to rising demand for the wide range of flexible pipe Integrity and engineering services, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico and North Atlantic regions.
